Over 30,000 students register in 2 days for UG

In first two days of opening registration link, over 30,000 undergraduate aspirants confirmed their registration on Department of Higher Education (DHE) portal.


Help centers assigned for assistance and document verification of students also witnessed rush of students on Saturday. In post-graduation only 300 candidates confirmed their registration as graduation result of many universities are yet to come. As per information provided by DHE officials, Janbhagidari employees are assigned at help centers for further assistance of applicants. As these employees were staging protest, they did not work on Friday. Online registration for admission to postgraduate courses in government and private colleges across state started on Friday. This year Department of Higher Education (DHE) has delayed the registration process by 10 days as last year registration was started from May 23 onwards.


Colleges belonging to minority group are offering admission on first come first serve basis. However DHE released notification to start registration for UG courses on May 30 but applicants got aware of registration line on May 31. First round of admissions to UG courses will be continued by June 20 and PG courses by June 25. Applicants are allowed to choose maximum 9 colleges as per their preference.


Online registration for undergraduate courses will be allowed by June 9 while PG registration will be concluding on June 14. Document verification for both UG and PG will be held at authorized help centers parallel to the registration. After verifying the documents, DHE will be releasing seats allotment letter for UG on June 14 and PG on June 20. Applicants will be asked to confirm their admission on allotted seats with fee submission by June 20 and June 25 respectively for UG and PG courses. Colleges exempted from online admission process of DHE are asked to report their admission status for UG and PG courses by June 20 and June 25.


After concluding first round of admission, department will release college wise, syllabus wise and reservation wise cut off list for both UG and PG on June 22 and June 27 respectively. Candidates fail to confirm admission in first list will be allowed to refill their choices for second round from June 23 to 27 and June 28 to July 1 respectively for UG and PG. Candidates who fail to confirm their registration will also be allowed to confirm their registration during the period. Documents of newly registered candidates will be held till June 28 and July 2 for UG and PG respectively. Second round of seat allotment will be released on July 2 and July 5 for UG and PG courses. Applicants will be asked to confirm their admission on allotted seats by July 5 and July 9 respectively. Colleges exempted from online admission are asked to update their admission status on DHE portal by July 9.


Concluding the two rounds of admission, DHE would release status of vacant seats and cut off on July 7 and 11 respectively for UG and PG. Online registration for fresh candidates and choice refill for applicants who do not confirm their admission on allotted seats for the first two rounds will begin on July 8 and 12 for UG and PG. Third round of admission will get conclude on July 24 and July 28 for UG and PG. This year too college level counseling will be allowed to fill up the vacant seats after three round of online admission. College level admission will begin on July 26. Candidates are asked to be present at Concern College along with documents from July 26 to 31. Last year too DHE allowed college level counseling to fill up the vacant seats. The department has made provision of online fee payment for the applicants. Candidates are asked to initiate for the payment link on official portal of DHE just after document verification. Applicants having issues with online payment are allowed to pay the amount through bank challan. Online mark sheet and related documents will be accepted during registration process but candidates have to present original documents at the time of admission.
