Intensive vehicle checking drive in Lalbarra

Cops, along with traffic police, carried out intensive checking of vehicles and penalised 20 vehicle and imposed penalty. The vehicle checking drive has been started following directives issued by Superintendent of Police has caused large scale panic among people who used to openly defy traffic rules pertaining to overloading of passengers along with driving without headgear and without adequate documents.
According to information from Station House Officer Lalbarra Manoj SIngh Rajput, in view of directives obtained from the SP, a special vehicle checking drive has been started against two wheelers and four wheelers found defying traffic rules. The drive has been started in consonance with the directions obtained from SP Balaghat. In the past few days, 20 vehicles were found defying traffic rules and were penalised. Penalty on law breakers has been imposed accordingly.

SI Prassan Sharma informed that checking drive was carried out at Sabri Dhabha situated around 1 kilometre from development block headquarters. Under the drive, people driving two wheelers and four wheelers were stopped and are being asked to produce driving license with special attention of use of helmet and seat belt by citizens. SHO Lalbarra Rajput informed that the objective of the drive to take action against people who openly defy traffic law. “We are concentrating on offenders who drive two wheelers without headgear and people driving four wheeler without seat belt. The checking move would continue in days to follow.” He has appealed to citizens to abide by traffic rules or else they would get penalised.The police team included Pravesh Verma, Sandeep Bhaghel, Vijay Binjhadey, Manoj Bhaghel, Manish Bhaghel and others.
