MP Govt will bear edn expenses of children of poor families: CM

“MADHYA Pradesh Government will bear all the education expenses of children belonging to poor families from class I till higher education under Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana,” declared Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing a convention of unorganised labourers and tendu leaf collectors in Balaghat on Sunday.
He mentioned that a campaign will be launched from July to deposit fees under this scheme.

The CM stated that Sambal Yojana is being implemented to bridge the gap between rich and poor. There is no restriction of caste, creed and religion for beneficiaries under this scheme. Every poor and hardworking person can avail benefits of this scheme. Elaborating about the scheme, Chouhan appealed to people to avail maximum benefits of the scheme. Moreover, he made an announcement for survey by sending a team on demand to help drought-hit farmers of Katangi tehsil.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed bonus worth Rs 13 crore online to over 71,125 tendu leaf collectors during the convention. He also helped tendu leaf collectors in wearing charan padukas and presented them water bottles on the occasion. He also presented sarees to women tendu leaf collectors. The CM distributed benefits of various other schemes to the beneficiaries and laid foundation stone of 13 construction works worth Rs 645 crore. While distributing smart cards to unorganised labourers in the convention, Chouhan said that smart cards contain all the information about the beneficiary. This card will help beneficiaries to avail benefits of other schemes as well. He added that Balaghat district is the first to provide smart cards to beneficiaries. The CM said that special programmes will be organised at all Janpad headquarters to distribute benefits of Sambal Yojana to registered labourers on June 13.

Minister for Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development Gaurishankar Bisen, President of Zila Panchayat Rekha Bisen, President of MP Asangathit Karmkar Kalyan Mandal Sultan Singh Shekhawat, Member of Parliament Bodhsingh Bhagat, Members of Legislative Assembly K D Deshmukh and Dr Yogendra Nirmal, other public representatives and labourers of unorganised sector along with tendu leaf collectors were present in large numbers.
