21-yr-old woman’s body found on terrace of her own house

The body of a 21-year-old woman was found lying mutilated on the terrace of her house in village Senduri under Kotma police station. The body was detected by the father of the girl who smelled something foul and found the body lying on the terrace. The deceased was a student of class XII and was allegedly having affair with a youth. She was deeply troubled due to impediment caused in the marriage. Members of both families belonged to the same Rathore community but had developed dispute some time back and were opposed to the marriage. According to police on Sunday evening, Shyamlal Rathore (50) found the mutilated body of his daughter lying on the terrace. The man climbed the terrace to detect the source of foul odour and found the body of his daughter. On being informed, police reached the spot, made panchnama and sent the body for autopsy to government hospital. The deceased was identified as Sudha Rathore (21). She was a student of class XII of Model School and had lost her mother 13 years ago. Consequently her father married for the second time. The deceased was having an affair with one youth in the village, Bhupendra Bhola Rathore resident from adjoining village Mahuda.

The family members were not ready to arrange the marriage between the two which caused enormous mental stress for the girl. Besides it is also informed that the deceased girl was stressed due to dispute with her friends. Her parents had lodged complaint with the police in this regard.
On further investigations, cops registered case under relevant sections of IPC. The cause behind the death remains to be established and would be revealed only after the autopsy report was received. Police have rounded up a couple of people from both families for interrogation. After the autopsy was performed, the body was handed over to the family members and further investigations are underway.
