Accused in loot incident nabbed, pistol loaded with three live cartridges recovered

Crime Branch Jabalpur team succeeded in apprehending an accused of loot incident and recovered a pistol loaded with three live cartridges and a looted mobile handset from him under the jurisdiction of Ghamapur police station, on Monday. The accused has been identified as Ashish Patel, a resident of Ghamapur.Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Sandeep Mishra informed that during a special campaign against absconding and listed criminals, police received information about a suspected man. Acting promptly on the information, a team comprised of Head Constable, Sushil Pandey, Constables, Rajesh Pandey, Sunil Pardhi, Prem Vishwakarma, Ajay Jain and Mukesh Singh started a search and trapped the accused. In his search police team recovered a pistol loaded with three live cartridges from him. In further investigation, Crime Branch team learnt that the arrested was involved in a loot incident reported near Paat Baba Mandir area and Ghamapur police had registered a case under section 392 of the IPC. Police have also retrieved a looted mobile handset amounting to Rs. 15,000 from the accused. The accused was handed over to Ghamapur police for further investigation into the case.
