JMC Anti-encroachment Deptt removes illegal structures

Anti-encroachment Department of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, on Monday conducted drive in many areas of the city and removed temporary as well as permanent structures. The anti-encroachment squad also seized commodities which were placed in front of shops.Senior officials of the department informed that the anti-encroachment squad conducted drive on route from Garha Railway crossing to Ranital, Garhaphatak road, Niwadganj and adjoining areas. The JMC employees removed kiosks, makeshift shops and also some permanent structures which were hindering traffic movement.


Official said the anti-encroachment squad conducted drive on the main road from Garha crossing to Ranital and removed a number of temporary structures like kiosks, handcart and makeshift shops placed on both sides of the road. The encroachments were obstructing traffic movement on the busy route.Later, the squad conducted drive on road to Garhaphatak and removed a garage operated illegally along the road. Besides, they also removed iron grills from a public well. The JMC would clean the well on Tuesday. Likewise, the anti-encroachment squad also carried out drive in Niwadganj market and seized the commodities, which were placed by shopkeepers on the road. Senior officials of the department said anti-encroachment squad is conducting drive constantly and removing both permanent and temporary structures. They said the squad is also redressing complaints received through CM Helpline. They said the squad would continue the drive and remove encroachments. Amongst the officials present during the drive were Team Incharge, Laxman Kori, Raju Raikwar, Narendra Rajput, Narendra Kushwaha, Mukesh Paras, Bambam Tiwari and others.
