3 Hardcore Naxals held in Bijapur

BIJAPUR

THREE hardcore Naxalites including one carrying permanent warrant were arrested by the security forces during different search operations in restive Bijapur district. The arrested Maoists have been identified as Kalmuli alias Manikram Kalmu (36) resident of Pallevaya under Bhairamgarh police limits, Paldeo Lakshmaiya (48) and Devar Sanyasi, residents of Gorla under Madder police in Bijapur.


According to police sources, the first arrested was made when the joint team of Bhairamgarh police and District Executive Forces (DEF) were out for area domination in Pallevaya village forest. The arrested ultra, Kalmuli, was involved in several naxal incidents that occurred in the area and wanted desperately by the local police.
He was booked under relevant sections of IPC and produced before local court in Bijapur from where he has been sent to jail.


On the same day, the security forces of 170th battalion of CRPF, District Police Force and Madder police received a tip of about presence of some naxals in Gorgunda and Gorla village forests. Based on this specific input, the security forces cordoned of the indicated locations and searched into the forest from where they arrested two other Maoists who were later identified as Paldeo and Devar. The two red rebels were arrested under IPC Section 147, 148, 149, 435, 341 and 120 (b) of IPC for their involvement in several naxal incidents and under Section 25 of Arms Act.
