Congress MP and Chairman of State Congress Election Campaign Committee, Jyotiraditya Scindia has challenged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for debate on development issue anywhere anytime and at any place.
Scindia, while addressing the press conference along with State Congress President Kamal Nath, said that when prices of crude oil were higher during previous UPA regime, BJP and CM used to protest, demanding slashing petrol rates. As of now, crude oil prices are much lower in international market in comparison to the period of ex UPA regime but petrol and diesel rates have increased instead of coming down. Excise Duty on petrol increased from 9 per cent to 19 per cent. “Present BJP regime reduced petrol price by 1 paisa and hence it is regime of 1 paisa,” he told.

He also accused State Government of attempting to fail rally of Rahul Gandhi to be organised in Mandsaur on Wednesday. He also censured government for taking peace bond of Rs 25,000 from an eighty years old farmer in Mandsaur. Training guns towards CM, he told that government does not know the feelings of people who have now hit the roads. He told that he had conducted the first meeting of election campaign committee and discussed the things. Suggestions were elicited from every member’s and responsibilities were given. The next meeting of the committee will be held on June 11.

In the joint statement, he and Kamal Nath expressed concern over alleged erroneous voter list. Kamal Nath told that now Congress has detected fake voters in Indore where in every ward has 700 fake voters. The errors in voters’ list are not human mistake rather done deliberately by misusing the administrative office. “BJP is bent upon doing anything to win the coming Assembly elections” he alleged. Taking on BJP charge of divided Congress, he told “We are very much united,”.He also accused BJP of trying to attack him on social media platform but he said that he is not bothered about criticism. On the contrary, he accused BJP of duping the voters.
