Strict action to be taken on liquor sale without bill: Minister Agrawal

Commercial Tax (Excise) Minister Amar Agrawal directed the excise officials to keep strict vigilance on illegal sale and transport of liquor in their respective areas. He also gave instructions to conduct intensive campaign against bootleggers.Agrawal also gave instructions to the officials to ensure that liquor is not sold without scanning, without bill receipt or at higher rates. He directed the officials that no negligence on this part will be tolerated. Any such negligence found would subject the official concerned to strict disciplinary action.

He directed the officials to ensure that the CCTV cameras installed in the liquor shops are functioning properly and during sale of the liquor, the camera should clearly capture customer receiving bill.Agrawal reviewed in detail the month-wise data and statistics of liquor stock and shop maintenance.
He instructed the officials to take strict action against the unauthorized snacks shops being run in the perimeter of 50 metre around the shop premise. On the occasion, Excise Commissioner cum Managing Directors D D Singh and Executive Director Jitendra Shukla and department officials were also present.
