100 kg ganja hidden in toilets seized from Samata Express

At least 100 kg ganja was seized from the toilets of two coaches of Samata Express in Bhopal on Wednesday. The small sacks of ganja were hidden in a clandestine manner. The cost of seized contraband is said to be in lakhs of rupees.
Sources said that it was from the toilets of S3 coach and S6 coach that 100 kg ganja, stuffed in small plastic sacks was seized. It is being said that 30 packets of ganja were seized from toilet of S 3 coach and 20 sacks of ganja were seized from S 6 coach.


The action was of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).
It was in presence of DRI officer Disha Patni and RPF personnel that ceiling of toilets of S3 Coach and S6 Coach were opened with the help of screw driver and hidden ganja sacks were retrieved.
The cost of seized contraband is Rs 15,75,000 in the country. The international price of seized ganja would be around Rs 1 crore.A case has been registered and investigation has been started to know that how ganja sacks were hidden in the train. It is being fathomed that smugglers could have hidden the contraband.
