RDU’s NSS unit takes out rally to mark Environment Day

The open unit of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Rani Durgawati University planted saplings and took out rally on the occasion of World Environment Day, on Tuesday. The NSS cadets also took the pledge of environment conservation on the occasion. At the outset, Vice Chancellor, Dr Kapil Deo Mishra administered oath of environment protection to NSS cadets. Shedding light on the importance of environment conservation, he said, if the nature is exploited with the same speed for next 50 years, there would remain only plastic and pollution on earth. Hence, people must discharge their responsibility and extend support in environment conservation. Later, NSS cadets took out rally and made people aware about environment protection. They urged people to plant trees and add greenery in their surroundings.
Expressing his views on the occasion, Programme Officer Open Unit, Dr Devanshu Gautam said, since centuries, environment conservation has been a part and parcel of Indian culture. It is the part of our lifestyle.Amongst those extending support in plantation were Professor Anjana, Prof Surendra Singh, Dr Ajay Mishra, NSS cadets, including Nikhil Agrawal, Arvind Lodhi, Pratik Jain, Amit Shivhare, Uma Bharti, Payal Patel, Satyendra Patel and others.
