Minister of State Vishwas Sarang rejected the allegations of Rahul Gandhi levelled against the State Government during his Mandsaur visit by telling that national president of Congress levelled baseless allegations. He also accused Rahul Gandhi of doing politics in the name of dead farmers. Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters, Vishwas Sarang said that death of any one is a sad affair. Rahul Gandhi has come on first anniversary of Mandsaur firing incident, but he never made plans to attend the anniversary of Multai (Betul) incident in which eighteen farmers were shot dead during Digvijay’s rule.

Defending the Government over farmers’ issue, he told that State Government has taken all the necessary steps for welfare of farmers and zero percent loan scheme is one such step. As far as farmers’ suicide is concerned then none of the probe report pointed that concerned farmer ended life due to loan. He added that the motive of Rahul Gandhi’s visit was only to vitiate the atmosphere in Madhya Pradesh. Replying to the claim of Rahul Gandhi that farmers’ loan would be waived off in ten days, he told that such kind of things are temporary and BJP is working for long time for welfare of farmers. Moreover, he claimed that there was no huge gathering at Rahul Gandhi’s Mandsaur rally as was claimed by the Congress leaders. On this occasion, he also reckoned various farmers’ welfare schemes launched by BJP Government.
