“BHARATIYA Janata Party (BJP) under ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ left no stone unturned to provide respect and equal opportunities to minorities,” said State BJP President Rakesh Singh. He was addressing a meeting of party’s minority members on Thursday. He urged the minority front workers to go among masses and apprise them about achievements of State and Central Government. Coming down heavily on the Congress, Rakesh Singh said, “Had the Congress done anything significant for minorities in terms of education and employment then the minority community might not have lagged behind. Congress exploited minorities emotionally. BJP Government is the Government that works for welfare of all. He claimed that the minority community has been benefited from welfare schemes. It is through this process that minority community will come into mainstream and will not get coaxed by anyone and will be able to contribute in nation’s progress,” he asserted. Singh further added that many schemes by Centre are only meant for minorities. The step taken by Centre on triple talaq has brought a new ray of hope for Muslim women. Now, Muslim women will also get a chance to live with dignity. Reckoning various steps taken by the BJP for welfare of minorities, he told that the BJP is the party which made a non-political person and patriotic Dr APJ Abdul Kalam the President of India. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Banaras, he touched feet of Azad Hind Fauz’s 107 years old colonel Nijamuddin to show his respect to patriots. On the occasion, Minority Front’s State President Sanwar Patel was also present along with other office-bearers of the organisation.
