Driver critical as dumper catches fire after hitting power line

In a freak mishap, a dumper caught fire after it hit a 11 KV power line and the driver was critically burnt at village Jaramohegaon.Sand was loaded on the dumper from mine at village Jaramohegaon. Then it came out and on road it hit a high voltage 11 KV line. Due to spark, fire spread and engulfed entire dumper and driver driving dumper had no time to save himself and was critically burnt and was electrocuted also. He was admitted at Katangi hospital. Eyewitness Bhojraj, Assistant Secretary, Jaramohegaon village panchayat informed that dumper of VRS Road Constriction Company was passing from village loaded with mud. Suddenly hydraulic of dumper was pressed and dumper was lifted upward and it hit a 11 KV line.


Suddenly current spread in dumper and it caught fire. Even dumper was electrocuted and sustained critical burn injuries. Chaos spread when dumper caught fire suddenly and people ran helter skelter to save themselves. Local villagers tried to extinguished the fire and on receiving information water tanker of company also reached the spot and then fire could be doused off. The injured driver was rushed to Government hospital.
