Man involved in different theft cases arrested

The allurement of lavish life landed a man behind bars after he was caught for multiple cases of thefts on Thursday. Tilda-Neora area was fraught with strings of burglaries with most of them showing the same modus-operandi. The most recent one happened on May 27, when some unidentified thief broke in into the Government Primary School building through the store room channel gate and pilfered the food items. School’s Assistant Teacher Purnanand Verma reported the case to Neora Police, where a FIR under Section 457 and 380 was registered. As the investigation began, police came to know about one Rajkumar Nutt, who was spotted wandering around the spot in night. Police took him in custody and impounded the stolen items after he confessed the crimes. The stolen items recovered by police include mobile phone, power bank, demo mobile phones, head phones, shoes which he had stolen from Shraddha Mobile shop and Komal Boot House at Tilda-Neora. Police also arrested four others namely Sanjay Kumar Dhruw (26), Manoj Sharma (23), Anand Verma (32), and Ramkumar Sahu (40) for buying the stolen items.

Man arrested for land fraud

Civil Lines Police has arrested a man for duping a woman by selling her smaller size plot after showing a bigger one.
Applicant Gauri Soni had lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines Police Station that accused Anand Soni had showed her a 1,250 square feet land near Purani Basti, Brahmanpara Satyanarayan Mandirfor sale. When the process of registry/name transfer was completed and she began, it was revealed to her that she only had 1,008 square feet of land while the rest of the plot was already been sold to someone else. On her complaint, Police arrested Anand Soni, resident of professor colony and booked him under Section 420 of IPC.
