CM Chouhan visits Virat Hospital

The Chief Minister visited the Virat Hospital, being run for treatment of cancer patients by Brahmarshi Mission near Bhedaghat.


Terming the services being rendered by the hospital for treatment of patients as selfless and worth emulating, the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hoped that such projects would also be started in other parts of State with the help of non-government organisations (NGOs).
He met all the 24 patients undergoing treatment in Virat Hospital and learnt about their condition. He increased the morale of patients fighting cancer by gifting them rose flowers.


Impressed by the services being rendered to cancer patients by Brahmarshi Mission, he met chief of the mission, Gyaneshwari Deedi and sought her blessings. He also appreciated the spirit of the nursing staff, looking after the patients and managing group of hospital. He termed the services being rendered to the patients of incurable disease, here unprecedented and excellent.


He said that, such cancer patients as are in the last stage of their life and their care, is not possible at home, are served and treated here. He said that over 900 patients have been treated here in last 5 years. Most of the cancer patients coming here are from needy families. These patients are provided spiritual atmosphere besides the best free treatment. All the cancer patients participate in the prayers here in evening and morning. The nutritious food is also provided to them by institute. He also suggested to associate the service works stated by the Virat Hospital with Anandam Department’s activities. He also met the talented students of a school being run for needy families under a project at Gwarighat. He gave certificates to the children and called upon them to study with devotion and appealed them not to get worried about future as State Government would take care of them. The expenditure on higher education of these students would be sustained by the State Government.


He also instructed to install transformer for quality power supply to Virat Hospital and also, to construct the approach road, to officers. Sadhvi Gyaneshwari Deedi welcomed Chief Minister by gifting him shawl and shriphal.


The MLA Pratibha Singh, social worker Naresh Grover, Sanwaldas, Kamal Grover, Senior journalist Ravendra Vajpayee, cancer treatment specialist Dr Shyamji Ravat, Sadhvi Maitreyi Didi, State BJP Vice President Vinod Gontiya, BJP District President Shiv Patel, Ashish Dubey, former President Bhedaghat Nagar Panchayat Anil Tiwari, Rajkumar Shukla, Dr Vijay, Dr Vibha Gahlot, Divisional Commissioner Ashutosh Awasthi, Inspector General Anant Kumar, Deputy IG B S Chouhan, Collector Chhavi Bhardwaj and Superintendent of Police (SP) Shashikant Shukla were also present on the occasion.
