Saplings planted at Leonard agricultural field

To implement the instruction of the State Government to plant saplings at the surrounding of river Narmada, a group of Rotary Interact members of Leonard Higher Secondary School visited village Barha at Leonard Agricultural fields for plantation of various fruit-bear and other saplings of commercial value the other day. The visit was organised under the guidance of Principal, L G Lobo and Admin, Leslie Lobo.


The students present were explained the importance and need to plant these saplings in order to make an effort to maintain ecological balance of nature. The students of Interact Club were quite enthusiastic to see the growth of saplings planted by them last year. during plantation programme, Leslie Lobo asked the students to plant at least one sapling on their birthday every year and motivate their friends and relatives to plant saplings and to look after them.


The children took a keen interest in the plantation programme and took an oath to plant atleast one sapling every year on their birth days. The plantation programme was headed by Shailesh, Ranjeeta, Manish, Leon and other members of Rotary Interact Club.
