Wardhaman Urban Bank wins ‘Best Co-Operative Bank’ award

Nagpur-based Wardhaman Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd has once again won the prestigious ‘Best Co-Operative Bank in Vidarbha’ award at a special function held at Karmazari. The bank won the award for the financial year 2017-18 and it is the fourth year when the bank received the award given every year by Vidarbha Urban Co-operative Association.


Venkatesam, General Manger, Reserve Bank of India; Kailashchandra Agrawal, President of association; Sudhir Kothari, Sahakar Mahirishi; and Ravindra Durugkar presented the award to Anil Parekh, President of the bank. All the directors of the bank and other senior officers were also present at the award distribution ceremony.


As per a communique issued here, the bank received the award because of its transparency in operations, continues growth and trust of people in the financial institute. Expressing their views, Parekh and Anil Patni, Vice President of the bank, said that the bank will work hard to provide better services to its customers. “We are also trying to take the bank to new high,” they said.


Prafulchand Doshi, Nitin Khara, Atul Kotecha, Dilip Ranka, Rajendra Sancheti, Hitesh Sankalecha, Anuj Badjate, Naresh Pugliya, Nitin Tatia, Pushpalata Jain, Sunita Surana, Advocate Rajendra Daga, Vijay Meshram and Kishor Ramteke, all directors, expressed happiness and satisfaction over the bank’s achievement. Wardhaman Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Nagpur, a primary urban co-op bank, registered under Co-op. Societies Act 1960 and a licensed Bank by RBI, was established on February 9, 1999, in Nagpur, by the then Chairman Shaktikumar Sancheti.
