Prakash Mehadia elected Chairman of All India Consumer Welfare Council; Ashwin Mehadia, Pratap Motwani are vice-presidents

Prakash Mehadia was elected as Chairman of All India Consumer Welfare Council. This announcement was made by B G Kulkarni, President and Devendra Tiwari, General Secretary of Council at its national-level meeting organised in the city on Sunday. Mehadia was welcomed by Jagdish Shukla, legal advisor of the Council. Subhash Agrawal was elected as Working President. Ashwin Mehadia, President of All India Consumer Welfare Council, Nagpur Unit and Pratap Motwani, General Secretary were elected as Vice-President of Council on national-level.

Arjun Jejure from Manmad, Madhuri Kedar, Gadchiroli, S Parmar, Agra, K Veeraswamy, Hyderabad, Pushpa Shinde, New Delhi, N Mahulkar, Mumbai and Ashoksingh from Jharkhand were prominently present on the occasion. Ramesh Lalwani, Raju Makhija, Sandesh Kanoje, Ramesh Umathe, Pradip Trivedi and Kailash Kewalramani from Nagpur Unit were present. Addressing the meeting, Prakash Mehadia said his primary duty was to ensure that consumers get proper justice and strengthen the Council.

Devendra Tiwari took review of the members about their respective work they had done for the betterment of consumers. The report presented in the meeting was unanimously passed by the members. A resolution was also passed condemning ban on plastic and was decided stage dharna at Jhansi Rani Square. Pratap Motwani said, he had given representation of Weight and Measures Department about the vegetable vendors using improper weighing machines.
