Everyone will get houses by the year 2022, under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana. This has been planned by the Centre and the State Government. In view of growing demand additional 11,000 houses will be made available in Wardha district. This was stated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, during Wardha District review meeting, in Vidhan Bhavan.


MP Ramdas Tadas, Legislators Anil Sole, Nago Ganar, Dr Pankaj Bhoyar, Sameer Kunawar, Amar Kale, Chief Secretary D K Jain, CM’s Additional Chief Secretary Pravin Pardesi, Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar, Wardha District Collector Shailesh Nawal, Superintendent of Police Nirmaladevi S, CEO Ajay Gulhane were present.


The Guardian Minister should remove encroachment and implement Pandan Rasta Yojana through people’s participation. The work of 200 kms has been completed and for the remaining work under the project additional funds will be made available, Fadnavis said. He also stated that the repair works of roads in rural area should be completed. Any substandard work will not be tolerated.


The GSDA report should be carefully studied and followed to complete target of irrigation wells, the pending work on laying of pipeline for Deoli Water Supply Scheme should be completed and made operational. Fadnavis also instructed the authorities concerned to ensure security of those living on the banks of rivers and nullahs, under flood control programme. A provision of Rs 1 crore will be made for the purpose.


A presentation on Dham and Vena rivers cleaning was made by the District Collector. Fadnavis stated that the funds for Vena river project in Hinganghat should be raised through CSR. Fadnavis was positive on the proposal of merging Wardha District Central Co-operative Bank into Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank. The proposal was made by Pankaj Bhoyar. Presently administrator has been appointed on the bank. About Rs 364.22 crore of 2,19,409 depositors has to be paid by the bank. Fadnavis said that a meeting with Minister for Co-operatives and Secretary will be convened soon to work out the solution.


Fadnavis also discussed issues pertaining to Jalyukta Shiwar Abhiyan, Farm Ponds, Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Marg, incomplete irrigation projects and rehabilitation of the project affected, power supply to irrigation pumps, police quarters, cleanliness drive, etc. Fadnavis also released rural development plan and a DVD ‘Mudrashakti’ on MUDRA scheme of the Prime Minister.
