During the campaign police have arrested four accused and retrieved stolen jewellery, including 110 grams of gold and 3-kilograms of silver jewellery, worth Rs 5 lakh

In a major breakthrough, a combine team of Crime Branch and Cantt police succeeded in apprehending four members of inter- State gang and retrieved stolen gold and silver jewelleries amounting to Rs 5 lakh. The accused has been identified as Ram Bahore alias Pappu Sahu (45), son of Ramavtar Sahu, of village Ghureta Pyasin in Mauganj, district Rewa, Jagdish Prasad Barman (65), son of Ramprasad Barman, of Indira Nagar in district Katni, Sandeep Atnere (35), son of Daduram Atnere of Shukla Nagar in Jabalpur and Rakesh Vishwakarma (40), son of Rajaram Vishwakarma of Ganga Sagar, Ekta Chowk in Garha.

Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday evening.It may be noted that SP, Amit Singh has directed the senior officers for keeping vigilant eye on listed criminals and collecting information of their current occupations through a special checking drive in their respective areas.Compliance with the directions, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Sandeep Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police (South), Arvind Dubey and CSP, Cantt, Arjun Uikay initiated a special campaign.SP Amit Singh informed that during the campaign police have arrested four accused and retrieved stolen jewellery including 110 grams of gold and 3-kilograms of silver jewellery. Three of the accused Rambahore, Jagdish Barman and Rakesh Vishwakarma were earlier arrested in theft cases in Jabalpur, Katni and Mandla districts. Another accused named Sandeep Atnere along with his accomplices steal jewellery of bride at the residence of his own relative in Betul district. The accused have confessed four theft incidents in Barela, two in Bhedaghat, one in Mandla and another in Betul.

On the achievement of police, SP, Amit Singh has declared cash rewards for members of police team led by SHO of Barela police station, Ratnakar Hingve comprised of Crime Branch’s SI, Anil Gaur, Head Constable, Sushil Pandey, Constables, Rajesh Pandey, Premlal Vishwakarma, Sunil Pardhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Mukesh Parihar, Ajay Jain, Nitin Joshi, Woman Constable, Neha Dubey and Barela police station’s SI, Pradeep Parihar.
