Inspector General of Police (Jabalpur Zone) Anant Kumar Singh chaired a zonal crime review meeting of DIGs and SPs at his office, on Monday.DIG (Jabalpur), Bhagwat Singh Chouhan, DIG (Chhindwara), G K Pathak, SP, Jabalpur Amit Singh, SP, Katni Mithilesh Shukla, SP, Chhindwara Atul Singh, SP, Seoni Vivekraj Singh and SP, Narsinghpur Dharmendra Singh Bhadoria attended the meeting.Addressing the maiden, IG Anant Kumar Singh emphasised over maintaining law and order arrangements during forthcoming festivals and elections. He said for updating the record of listed criminals and keeping vigilant eye on social networking sites. Police must ensure availability of riot drill materials and fitness of vehicles to take prompt action in case of any untoward incident.


Officers should pay attention on putting-up check on increasing number of loot, murder, attempting murder, dacoity, chain snatching, rape and crime against women and backward class and taking prompt action against accused. Police should be sensitive in women related crime cases and making justice with them on minute complaints. Illegal practices of gambling and trade of narcotic substances will never be tolerated.IG A K Singh has instructed the officers of police station wise review of crime against women and taking prompt action against accused. Police should markblack spots to take preventive action in increasing number of road accidents and ensure traffic management in their respective areas.


He informed that police internship scheme has been started to inform the students about working of police. SPs have been directed for monitoring of the scheme. All the CSPs and SDOPs have been assigned to review apprehension of warrantees under a special campaign while SPs were directed for making necessary preparations for rescue operation due to flood like situation during monsoon.
