Cops nab 3 accused wantedin several theft incidents

Continuing a rigorous campaign against anti-social elements, a combined team of Crime Branch and Kotwali police have succeeded in apprehending three accused involved in several theft incidents. Police have recovered a country-made pistol, a live cartridge, a motorcycle and stolen jewellery amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh from the accused.The accused have been identified as Aman Birha (19), son of late Vinod Birha, a resident of Katni Dafai Mehtar Mohalla in Ranjhi, Gagan Birha (22), son of Pappu Birha, resident of Bakra Market, Bhantallaiyya in Belbagh and Nitesh alias Nittu Vishwakarma (20), son of Ashok Vishwakarma, resident of Badhai Mohalla in Belbagh.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City),Deepak Shukla (IPS) disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday. It may be noted that, under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS), police have started a special campaign against listed criminals and anti-social elements under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Deepak Shukla and Additional SP (Crime), Sandeep Mishra, CSP, Kotwali, Deepak Mishra. ASP, Deepak Sharma informed that during the campaign, police team caught a suspected man named Aman Birha and seized a 32-bore country-made pistol and a live cartridge from him. In a rigorous questioning, the accused confessed to committing theft at the dence of Jain family (complaint lodged by Urmila Jain) with the help of his accomplices Gagan Birha and Nitesh Vishwakarma. On his identification, police team started a search and succeeded in apprehending two more accused and retrieved stolen jewellery amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh and a motorcycle from the accused.

The accused were apprehended with active working of police team comprising DSP Akhilesh Gaur, Pushpa Prajapati, SHO of Kotwali, R K Malviya, ASI, Santram Bagri, ASI, Ravindra Singh, Head Constable, Rajesh Verma, Constables, Ramji Pandey, Mahendra Shukla, Pankaj Sanodia, Pradeep Naik, Ramlal Kushwaha, Gyanendra Pathak, Mahendra Patel, Sadiq Khan, Shashi Prakash, Ashwini Trivedi and Shailendra Patwa. On the achievement of police team, Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh has declared cash reward for members of police team.
