IGP Singh inaugurates new cyber cell building

THE new building of Crime Branch and Cyber Cell, located near Bhatti Police Station in Sector-3, Bhilai, was inaugurated at the hands of G P Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Durg Police Range, in a formal function on Tuesday morning. Dr Sanjeev Shukla, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Durg and senior police officials and personnel were also present on this occasion.
IGP, Singh formally inaugurated the newly constructed building of Crime Branch and Cyber Cell, and also interacted with the police officials and personnel while instructing them for conducting result oriented investigation in all the cases. He directed SSP, Dr Shukla for ensuring the deployment of all advanced equipments and devices at special police cells for tracking down absconding accused of various criminal cases. IGP, Singh along with senior police officials also planted sapling at the cells’ premises to mark the occasion.

In the aftermath, IGP, G P Singh addressed the crime meeting, attended by all Superintendents of Police (SPs) from the police range, at IGP, Bhilai office on Tuesday noon. He directed SPs for ensuring policing with accommodative attitude and tightening the noose on criminal elements and then busting crime rackets at the earliest. While addressing the crime meeting, IGP, G P Singh issued directives for preparing reports of all pending ‘FSL’ cases and obtaining reports; expediting investigation in the pending cases of the year 2017 and prior to that, with specific thrust on missing cases of minors while sorting them out within one month; maximum possible presence of SHOs at police stations for patient hearing to complainants and prompt action regarding the reports of cognizable offences.

He specifically emphasized for ensuring the healthy police public rapport and for arranging intensive patrolling at each police station level and visibility of police among public, with SHOs taking walk with staffers in evening within their respective police station limits and checking possible criminal activities at various joints. He specially instructed the SPs for ensuring preliminary investigation and transfer of cases of other police stations within the district.IGP, Singh also directed SPs for undertaking the best efforts in execution of pending warrants, concrete measures for checking drug peddling and smuggling, illegal hookah bars, fake currency racket, illicit liquor sales and also busing sex rackets with zero tolerance for criminal activities.

He specially directed for ensuring minimum response time on crime reports along with evaluating reports of polling booths in naxal infested areas, keeping in view the forthcoming Assembly polls and apprizing the headquarters about them at the earliest, so that the authorities could approve for deployment of adequate force at such sensitive places.
