Staff Report

The two under-bridges in the city, one at Chandra Maurya and other at Priyadarshani Parishar gets completely inundated during rainy season thereby increasing the pressure on traffic at Supela Railway Crossing. Therefore people living in township areas have to travel either through Power House Railway Crossing or Supela Railway Crossing resulting in long jams in the crossings. Here it needs a mention that several students travel daily from beyond Mumbai-Howrah Railway tract to township area for education and have to have to face lot of problem in crossing the railway tracks during the rainy seasons. To low the traffic pressure, RUB and ROB is being constructed at Nehru Nagar Railway Crossing.

The construction work is ongoing since last two year and now and the duration of the completion time has surpassed and the construction work is delayed. Due tothis delay, the majority population of Junwani, Model Town, Nehru Nagar, Kohka, Fareed Nagar, Radhika Nagar and Sanjay Nagar have to take a roller coaster ride. The people living in this region have to come through the middle cut of Kosanala toll-plaza and from this they have to pass through under-bridge constructed in Priyadarshini Parishar in front of Supela Police Station to reach township areas or via Supela Supela Railway Crossing.

The same situation is with the school and college students of this region studying in non-governmental organisations. They have to travel one hour ahead from their homes so that they can reach their school or college in time. The earliest completion of Nehru Nagar ROB and RUB will bring the much needed relief especially to the maximum population of Nehru Nagar, Model Town and junwani area who are facing the trouble presently.
