Olympian shooters appreciate amenities at national camp

UNDER the joint collaboration of Sports Authority of India, National Rifle Association of India and Madhya Pradesh Sports Department, a national training camp is organised with began on July 8 and will conclude to July 25 at MP Shooting Academy, Bishan Khedi. Pistol players from all over the country are learning and polishing their talents in the training camp. For the national training camp, 16 players of country have been selected, including 12 men and 4 women players. Olympian Pistol players Vijay Kumar, Jitu Rai, Hina Siddhu and Rahi Sarnobat are also participating in the camp. Hina Sidhu and Jitu Rai reached Bhopal last night while Anmol Jain, Saurabh Chaudhary, Anees and Manu Bhakar will reach Bhopal on July 17, on Tuesday.

State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, after visiting the Shooting Academy on Tuesday reviewed the ongoing national training camp and fostered the training of the trained players. She talked with the players in the National Camp about the international amenities being provided to them at Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy. Olympian Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh informed the Sports Minister that the quality facilities which are being made available to the players at the State Shooting Academy are of international level. Other players, including Pistol player Shweta Singh, expressed happiness over the National Camp in Bhopal and appreciated the world-class facilities of the Shooting Academy. The Sports Minister congratulated the selected players for the National Camp and gave them best wishes for future. According to the determined scheduled for national camp, on Tuesday, from 9 am to 1 pm, Smirnov Pavel and the Chief Instructor (Pistol) of the State Shooting Academy, Ved Prakash Pilania imparted training to the players.
