Malhar, Shourya and Rajat are neither childhood friends nor they come from same city. There are no similarities in their families. Malhar Patil is son of Nagpur-based industrialist while Shourya Agrawal’s father is doctor practicing in Ajmer and Rajat Gupta comes from a business family based in Delhi. But there is a common element in their personalities. They are all innovative and do not wish to follow the conventional path as far as their career is concerned and hence they become good friends as soon as they joined the prestigious BITS Pilani’s K K Birla Goa Campus about five years back.

While doing their graduation in engineering, they cherished a dream of becoming entrepreneurs. They followed their dream passionately and today they are jointly working on an ambitious start-up project. The three ambitious friends set aside the businesses that already existed and came up with a unique concept. The young engineers, all in their early twenties, decided to cater to a segment of the mobile phone users for whom emotions, memories and love matter.

While sharing the business details with The Hitavada recently, Malhar said, “The idea is to give free-of-cost colour print of photographs to anyone who uploads it on the mobile app called - Homingoes. It is an app developed by the team.” “We believe that memories are priceless and thus we deliver photographs at the door steps of our clients without charging from them. It is an opportunity for our clients to preserve their memories in a printed format,” said Malhar. The trio has designed a mobile app that can be installed from Google Play Store in any smart phone. Once you have the app in your cellphone, you can send as much pictures as you wish and ask the service provider to deliver it at the desired location. The photo copy in an attractive folder will be handed over to the client within five to six days.

“We have decided to use technology to bridge the gap in human relations that technology had created in last few decades. We are creating a highly secure platform for the people to connect with each other keeping their privacy intact,” he said.“In this digital world, we feel that the emotional connect behind any communication has been missing. Though we have so many photographs in our cellphone, they are rarely used to give the personal touch while wishing someone on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and festivals. With Homingoes, we provide a platform to do so in the simplest way possible,” said Rajat.
When asked, Shourya said that the photograph will be delivered through courier or post in an attractive folder on which advertisements will be printed.

“Actually, it is the advertisers who will generate revenue for us. And the interesting part of our business model is that the advertisements will be selected based on the type of customers. We have done a lot of work in this area so as to give maximum publicity to our advertisers besides giving memorable experience to the clients,” Shourya said exuding complete faith in the concept. The team has recently started the project and right now the services are available in two cities - Nagpur and Ajmer. But their plan is to launch it at all India level by Diwali this year. As of now, about ten people are working on the project along with Divyansh Gupta who is a Creative Director in the firm.
Divyansh plays a major role in designing and printing the
