NMC, OCW lay water pipe line in Craddok Road

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) have successful in laying water pipe line in highly densely congested, populated area in Craddok Road from Golibar Square to Motibag RuB in Central Nagpur. The team of NMC- OCW worked for almost 11 months to lay 600 mm diameter pipeline at 1.65 kms. The team has safely charged and dedicated the new pipeline - Boriyapura Feeder Main- to the public for providing safe drinking water.


The residents of Mominpura, Timki, Boriyapura and others were receiving contaminated water for last several years due to rusted and broken pipe line of the area. OCW has replaced old damaged, rusted Boriyapura feeder line with new pipeline to provide clean drinking water.


NMC had announced 24 hours shutdown of Boriyapura Feeder Main, however with its technical expertise the team has completed all technical work in 12-hours only.
Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Water Supply Committee Chairman Pintoo Zalke, Sanjay Gaikwad, Executive Director NESL, Sanjoy Roy, CEO and Rajesh Kalra, Deputy Director visited the interconnection spot and reviewed the pipeline laying work at Motibagh RuB junction. Corporators Asha Uikey, Saiyyada Ansari, Zeesha Mumtaz , Zulfikar Bhutto and Ramesh Punekar supported the work.
