FORMER Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and President of Sawajwadi Party (SP) Akhilesh Yadav said that SP is not averse to alliance but remained tight-lipped over forging ties with Congress in Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. However, he told reporters that he enjoys warm relations with Kamal Nath but refused to divulge details. “We are also talking to others but we won’t reveal anything in this regard,” he quipped.

Akhilesh Yadav was addressing a press conference in Bhopal on Thursday. When asked whether SP will go for poll alliance with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh as Kamal Nath is inclined towards formation of alliance to uproot BJP, he said that Samajwadi Party will fight elections in Madhya Pradesh wherever it is strong.

The SP chief further said that in Madhya Pradesh, Samajwadi Party wants to pick up those persons who can take forward Samajwadi movement and its legacy. Trading guns towards NDA Government, Yadav said that now country wants change. People want a new Prime Minister and Samajwadi Party is in favour of people’s demand.
