Labour Welfare Board office building opens at Butibori

Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board Office building located at Butibori was officially opened on Sunday. A special inaugural function was held on the occasion wherein the organisers held tree plantation programme and also celebrated 65th anniversary of Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund. The office building located in KEC Colony in Butibori is result of relentless joint efforts of all workmen of Butibori and industries.Pradip Raut, Head HR, KEC International Limited, and Vice- President of Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA) was chief guest of the function. A tree plantation programme was organised early in the morning between 8.30 am and 10 am. In addition to this, a ‘dindi’ was taken out with an objective of creating awareness among the masses on importance of trees. More than 200 workmen, their family, children and welfare board officials enthusiastically participated in the procession. The event also saw plantation of over 100 sapling in the premises of the office building. Further, the organiseres distributed saplings free of cost to the participants.


It is important to note that Sudhir Mungantiwar, Maharashtra Minister for Finance, Planning, and Forests; and Maharashtra Minister for Labour and Skill Development Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar have been promoting special schemes thereby motivating people to undertake tree plantation throughout the State. The Ministers have set a target of 2,000 tree plantation for Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board.In his keynote address Raut said that the Butibori has nearly 50,000 permanent and contract labour are staying in the area and taking into account all their members, over 2 lakh persons will be benefited by the labour welfare board office. He also thanked and appreciated the board and its officials for the facility which was long awaited. Raut further also said that it is just a beginning. “We are working to bring ESIC office in Butibori just like the one located in Nagpur city,” he said.


Arun Kapse , Labour Welfare Officer, Nagpur gave information about various programmes and initiatives of the department.Besides, Butibori Manufacturers Association has decided to meet Maharashtra Labour Minister during the upcoming monsoon assembly session to be held in Nagpur and pursue the matter of 200-bedded hospital in Butibori. For quite long the people of Butibori have been asking for the facility.On the occasion, Shripad Takalkar, Head HR Lemken, spoke about the environment and appraised the initiatives of Labour Welfare Fund.Sanjay Muley, General Manager Reliance, in his speech appealed to all the present to take maximum benefit of the opportunity.


Sudharma Khode, Centre Head Labour Welfare Fund, Butibori, conducted the proceedings of the event. Satish Dabhade is on of the key contributors in bringing the facility to Butibori.Sudharma Khode expressed his gratitude to the chief guest, workmen and their families for making the programme a grand success. Nanda Bhoyar, Sanjay Dandekar, Vishkarmaji, Pardhi, Sanjay Joseph, Devendra Datta, Hemant Jaunjal, Pratibha Pagdhune, Satish Kute, Prakash Kohle and Ritesh Gujar worked hard to make the function a big success.
