4 accused, including woman, held in duping case

Police have succeeded in apprehending four accused, including a woman, for duping two girls in the name of providing them benefit under the head of Mukhya Mantri Swarozgar Yojana. The accused assured the two girls of providing them cash of Rs 10,000 each and withdrew loan amounting to Rs 4 lakh on the basis of their identities and signatures. Police arrested the accused within 24 hours of the complaint.The accused have been identified as Rajesh Rajput (52), son of late Chhotelal Rajput, a resident of Dwarka Nagar in Ghamapur, Rakesh Patel (44), son of Rammilan Patel, a resident of Trimurty Nagar in Gohalpur, Pintu Sen alias Akash (33), son of Vinod Sen, a resident of Narmada Nagar in Gohalpur, Sarita Jain (40), wife of Lajpat Jain, resident of Trimurty Nagar, Gohalpur and Sushant Tiwari (21), son of Vijay Tiwari, resident of Pushpak Nagar in Adhartal.


Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday. SP, Amit Singh informed that, on July 2, a girl named Neha Kori (19), a resident of Bai Ka Bagicha in Tulsi Mohalla, lodged a written complaint at Tilwara police station that one month back, she, along with her friend Akansha, came in contact with two men named Sushant Tiwari and Rajesh Rajput. The miscreants informed that they will be given cash of Rs 10,000 each and took Xerox of their Aadhaar card, mark-sheet, caste certificate and passport size photos. Sushant and Rajesh opened their bank accounts and called them for taking money at Syndicate Bank, Medical College road in Shastri Nagar. She, along with friend Akansha, reached Syndicate Bank, where Sushant and Rajesh introduced them to a girl named Sarita Jain and two other men were also present there. Miscreants took their signature on cheques of Rs 2 lakh each and withdrew money of Rs 4 lakh from the bank. Before she could learn their intentions, the miscreants wrapped the money in a cloth and assured them of providing cash of Rs 10,000 each and escaped from the spot.


Taking a serious note into the case, a police team was constituted under the supervision of Additional SP (Rural), Rai Singh Narvaria and CSP, Bargi, R S Rawat. Police team led by SHO of Tilwara police station, Sub Inspector, Girish Khare started a rigorous search and succeeded in apprehending the five accused, including a woman, involved in duping the two girls and seized cash of Rs 4 lakh, documents and a colour printer. Police are still investigating the case to know more forgery and duping incidents from the accused.On the achievement, SP, Amit Singh has declared cash rewards for members of police team comprising SHO, Girish Khare, Head Constables, Sacchidanand Singh, Ashok Kahar, Constables, Virendra Singh, Dharmendra Soni, Nikesh, Ashok Singh, Ramesh Patel, Ramesh Patel, Woman Constable, Harshita Baghel and Vijay Tomar.
