2 of 3 murder accused in police net within 24 hours of incident

GARHA police have succeeded in apprehending two of the three accused of murder of a boy within 24 hours of the incident on Wednesday. The arrested have been identified as Bhola Lodhi (22) and Saurav Lodhi (23), residents of Lodhi Mohalla, while another accused named Prashant alias Panchi is still at large after the incident. A youth named Kanhaiyya Singraha (27), a resident of Singraha Mohalla in Garha, was stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon over an old rivalry who succumbed to his critical injury while undergoing treatment in the hospital on July 3.

SHO of Garha police station Kanhaiyya Singh Baghel informed that on July 3, a boy named Durgesh Singraha (21), a resident of Singraha Mohalla, filed a complaint that he is working as flower decorator. Kanhaiyya Singraha is his cousin who lived in the neighbourhood. In the afternoon, Kanhaiyya Singraha and Gaurav Sondhia were riding a Activa scooter towards Garha Bazar. They were forcibly stopped by Saurabh Lodhi, Bhola Lodhi and Prashand alias Panchi in front of Anandkunj Baba Studio. Before Kanhaiyya could learn their intentions, the miscreants took out sharp-edged weapons and stabbed his abdomen. Kanhaiyya fell unconscious and fell on the road. Miscreants threatened him to life and managed to escape from the spot. Kanhaiyya was immediately rushed to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Durgesh charged that Saurabh Lodhi, Bhola Lodhi and Prasad attempted to kill his cousin. Garha police registered a case under Sections 302, 341, 294, 506 and 34 of the IPC and started investigations into the case. On Wednesday, bereaved family members and a large number of residents staged demonstration in front of Garha police station to press for their demand to arrest the accused.
