DGP Shukla inaugurates CCPWC Yojana

Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla inaugurated Cyber Crime Prevention for Women and Children scheme (CCPWC) of Union Home Ministry at PHQ on Wednesday. Public can register complaint related to cyber crime online under this scheme.Main objective of this scheme is to give cyber crime training to police officials, public prosecutors and judicial officers as well as establishing forensic cyber laboratories. Awareness campaign will also be launched.A centralised online reporting portal has been started in which the complaints about rape, gang rape and child pornography
related viral video etc could be registered. Such video can be removed from internet through immediate action.

A three-day training was also started at new conference hall of PHQ in which around 50 public prosecutors belonging to all districts of the State participated on first day. Master trainers will give training about cyber crime to the participants in next two days. DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla said that regular training programmes will be conducted under the scheme in which 1,100 constables and will be imparted training about cyber crime awareness, 650 police inspectors about cyber crime investigation, 350 public prosecutors and 350 judicial officers will be imparted training about cyber crime and cyber law awareness. ADG (cyber) Rajesh Gupta, DIG Wayangankar, AIG Goyanka, other senior police officials and public prosecutors belonging to all districts were present on the occasion.
