7 outlaws lay down their arms

SUKMA: ALTOGETHER seven outlaws including two wanted cadres laid down their arms before the district police here, citing their disappointment with the hollow Maoist policy. According to press release issued by the district police, the surrendered cadres have been identified as Mahupadar LGS Member (Kaanger Valley Area Committee) Ayate of Tongpal, former commander of Company Number 06 Section ‘B’ Anky of Errabore, former Konta LOS Member (Konta Area Committee) Sunny of Pollampalli, Militia Commander Joga of Chintagufa, Militia Member Singhanmadgu, RPC, Nanda of Chintagufa, Militia Member Karigundam RPC, Kosa of Chintagufa and DAKMS Member Joga of Tongpal.Of these, Aayte and Militia Commander Joga were carrying cash reward of Rs one lakh each on head.

During interrogation, they disclosed that they were fed of the disillusioned Maoist policy and wanted to get rid of violence, thus they had made up mind to lay down their arms before the police.Finally, they surrendered at the office of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena on Friday. On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha and other officials were present along with the SP Meena.The surrendered ultras would be benefited under norms of State Government’s Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy, informed the police sources.
