Ensure smooth functioning of Legislature: Kalse

Dr Anant Kalse, Principal Secretary of Maharashtra Legislature, directed administration to take all precautions in conducting business in both the houses during monsoon session. The administration should ensure that such situation may not arise in near future, he added. Kalse was taking stock of situation after both the houses were adjourned for a day without conducting business.

Uttam Singh Chavan, Joint Secretary; A N Mohite, Deputy Secretary; B G Athwale, Additional Secretary; Anoop Kumar, Divisional Commissioner; Ashwin Mudgal, Collector; Virendra Singh, Municipal Commissioner; Ravindra Thakre, Additional Commissioner; Prakash Patil, Additional Collector; Ulhas Debadwar, Chief Engineer, PWD; R R Akulwar, Superintending Engineer of MSEDCL; Prashant Navghare, Superintending Engineer, PWD; Janardan Bhanuse, Executive Engineer, PWD and Chandrashekhar Giri, Assistant Engineer were present.

Kalse directed all the departments to ensure better co-ordination between them to avoid such incident in near future. He also stated to complete all the process to ensure smooth monsoon session for remaining period.

Virendra Singh, Municipal Commissioner, assured in the meeting that the civic body would take all measures to remove shortcomings in next two days. Anoop Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, also directed District Administration and Municipal Commissioner to take all possible measures for hurdle free session.
