Green corridor created to transport Atul’s heart to Delhi

GREEN corridor was created in Bhopal to transport heart of brain dead Atul Lokhande to Delhi AIIMS on Friday morning. A team of specialist doctors carried the heart of Atul Lokhande to the airport and from there it was taken to Delhi AIIMs by flight. CSP MP Nagar, Umesh Tiwari informed ‘The Hitavada’ that green corridor was created at around 7 am from hospital till the airport to transport heart of Atul Lokande. The heart was taken by a team of specialist doctors to Delhi AIIMS. Family members of Atul Lokande also decided to donate other vital organs of brain dead Atul including kidneys, cornea and liver. Both kidneys were given to two hospitals in Bhopal.

One of the kidneys was given to a poor patient and it was transplanted successfully. Everyone hailed the decision of Atul’s family to donate organs to needy ones. Atul Lokhande shot himself in temple at the house of his girlfriend after she decided to part ways. Before shooting himself, he posted his feelings on his Facebook account. Doctors tried to save him but they failed. He was brother of a local BJP worker.
