“Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation” The scheme was started with the focus of urban renewal projects. Rajasthan is the first state in the country to present state annual work plan under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).It is also noted that that due to the encroachment in sewage, water logging is been resulted. Moreover, it is said that the construction is being carried out even on the Sewer line and as result of the said construction the sewage system is being obstructed resulting in water logging from the sewage.

It has to be mentioned that monsoon season is already resulting in water logging in nullahs in many areas and in such a scenario encroachments near sewage is adding more trouble. Pathetic condition can be obsersved in Kolar suburbs ,areas near Ashoka Garden Nehrunagar zone-6the sewer near Bhopal talkies near Saifia Collegeetc. In old city, the places which have caused the most havoc in 2 years during monsoons are Mahamai baagh's sewer nearwers of Kammukhan, Chandbad, Bismillah colony, but no actions were taken. The area near Ashoka Gardens, Bhopal Talkies and MP nagar faces the worst problems due to water logging as they are accident prone areas and experiences the heaviest flow of traffic. Many other areas near the twelve number area and the area near Trilanga to Gulmohar are prone to water logging and needs immediate attention. There are projects that are in process for leak detection in the pipes and their repair. Also, bulldozers may be run over the encroachments so as to ensure that the sewage area is clean and there are no water logging issues.
