Students holds cleanliness campaign under Swachh Bharat Internship Yojana

SWACHH Bharat Summer Internship Yojana is revolutionary initiative taken by the Government of India to ensure cleanliness at every corner of the country. Youngsters through Summer Internship Yojana are availing an opportunity to enhance their understanding towards Rural India. They found themselves connected with villages now. Under the same, students from Government Mohanlal Hargovind Das Home Science and Science Autonomous College for Women carried out a cleanliness campaign at village Padariya these days. These students are registered as team work under the leadership of Aparna Guha. Other members of the team included Vidyavati Jhariya, Vandana Sahu, Sandhya Dhurve, Abha Lodhi and Kajal Patel. The campaign is being carried out under the patronage of college Principal, Dr Shashibala Shrivastava and direction of Programme Officer National Service Scheme Dr Shampa Jain.

Villagers are advised to adopt cleanliness mantra to lead a healthy and happy life. They are promoted to maintain cleanliness at their household and surroundings and to separately keep wet and dry garbage and to prepare manure from vegetable wastes. The students are creating public awareness through various activities including street plays, dance, door-to-door visit, school-level rally, wall painting in public places, cleaning of drains and other activities. Students have successfully completed 50 out of 100 hours to be spent in rural areas creating social awareness for cleanliness.
