Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced regularisation of 194 illegal colonies of Jabalpur

Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Saturday presented a gift of development works to the tune of Rs 800 crore to city dwellers through e-lokarpan and bhoomipujan during a programme organised at Bamaura ground near Sagar.

The Chief Minister, during the programme, announced regularisation of 194 illegal colonies of Jabalpur and also held live talk with the beneficiaries present during the programme organised at Veterinary Science University in Jabalpur.

After performing e-bhoomipujan, the Chief Minister held talk with a beneficiary of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, Rajni Kushwaha, who was present at Veterinary Science University ground. She, while expressing happiness after getting Rs 2.5 lakh under PAY, informed the Chief Minister that the aid would fulfill her dream of a pucca house. She said, the house would rid her family of day-to-day problems they have been encountering.

She also extended gratitude to the Chief Minister as well as the Prime Minister for the aid. Happy over regularisation of illegal colonies, a resident of Adhartal, Vipin Tiwari extended thankfulness to the Chief Minister for the decision. During direct talk with the CM, Vipin said, he had bought a plot in Kachnar Phase 2, but could not build his own house as the locality was illegal. He said now, he can construct his house.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation for 1,152 housing units with an amount of Rs 118,50,00,000 under PAY in Tilhari, water supply scheme of Rs 143 crore under AMRUT Yojana, sewerage scheme of Rs 362 crore, development of Ranital park and other seven parks.

The CM also dedicated to public the newly developed and beautify Gullua pond. He also performed e-bhoomipujan for Multi Sports Complex at Pt Ravi Shankar Shukla Stadium, Smart Road phase-3, round the clock water supply under Smart City Mission. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole also extended gratitude to the Chief Minister for the development works. She said, people are getting due benefits of Government schemes.

Later, the CM also performed e-bhoomipujan for development works to the tune of over Rs 73.61 crore under various schemes of Jabalpur Development Authority (JDA). The works include construction of LIG and MIG houses under Basant Bihar scheme, construction of bridge under Madhotal, LIG houses in Shatabdipuram, duplexes in Pt Vishal Pachori residential and commercial premises and in Vijay Nagar. Chouhan also performed bhoomipujan for water supply scheme in Barela and sewerage scheme in Bhedaghat.

Amongst those also present on the occasion were Minister of State for Public Health, Sharad Jain, Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole, MLA, Ashok Rohani, Chairman, Jabalpur Development Authority, Dr Vinod Mishra, Chairperson, JMC, Sumitra Balmeek, Mayor-in-Council member, Kamlesh Agrawal, Collector, Chhavi Bhardwaj, Municipal Commissioner, Chandramauli Shukla, CEO, JDA, Nidhi Singh Rajput and others.
