First poster of transgender based movie ‘Hansa Ek Sanyog’ released in Raipur

First poster of upcoming Hindi movie “Hansa Ek Sanyog”, which is based on third gender, was released in Raipur on Saturday. The film is being made under the banner of Chitragrahi Films and produced by Suresh Sharma.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Sharma said that the movie would be released in the month of September. The shooting of the movie was held in Mumbai and Chhattisgarh, he added. Hansa- Ek Sanyog is all about the struggle of a transgender child for identity and Kinnar community. It also demonstrates how Kinnar community still struggle for the right to live with dignity. In this film, Chitragarhi Films, through Hansa Ek Sanyog, attempts to highlight the struggle of transgender people to live their livelihood with dignity, said the film producer.

“A transgender based character movie is being made first time and the issues of the transgender people, who are neglected by the society since their birth, are being highlighted. This movie will help change the perception of people regarding transgender people and the society will give equal right to the transgender people,” stated Sharma.
The producer demanded that the movie “Hansa Ek Sanyog” should be declared tax free across the country so that viewers could watch the movie.

Actress Mona Lisa, who was also present at the press conference, said, “I am delighted to work in a third gender character based movie. We hope people would watch and like the movie.”
Replying to a query, Mona Lisa, who worked in more than 125 movies, said that she would love to work in Chhattisgarhi movies if she gets offer for it.
Singer Ritu Pathak, Ayush Shrivastava, Ayush Chandrakar and others were present at the press conference.

Later, artists Ayush Shrivastava, Sharad Saxena, Mona Lisa, Ayush Chandrakar, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Pankaj Shukla, Ishtiyak Khan and other artists came to Raipur for promotion of the movie. The artists promoted during an event at Pt. Dindayal Upadhyay Auditorium on Saturday evening. The artists also performed.

These artists participated in the poster release programme. People from third gender also participated in the event.
Ayush Shrivastava, hailing from Bhilai, has played the character of Hansa in the movie. Sharad Saxena, Mona Lisa, Ayush Chandrakar, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Mantra Patel, Pankaj Shukla, Neelam Pandey, Ishtiyak Khan, Akhilendra Mishra and other artists enacted in the movie. The movie has been directed by Santosh Kashyap and Dhiraj Verma. Bollywood singer Ritu Pathak and singer Zakir Hussain sang songs for the movie.
