Mock drill at GCF

Havoc was created amongst employees with the blowing of danger siren in Gun Carriage Factory (GCF) and news of ammonia gas leakage at heat treatment section spread in the factory at around 11 am. All the officers and employees rushed out from their respective departments and fire brigade, security personnel and rescue teams came in to join the action. Rescue teams rushed three critically injured employees to Satpula Hospital, while team of doctors provided primary treatment to the injured on the spot.

Officers and employees were relaxed when they came to know about a mock drill of disaster management in case of ammonia gas leakage in the factory.

Gun Carriage Factory, Senior Vigilance Officer, Palash Barman informed that a mock drill was conducted in the factory to check response time of rescue teams and improving the industrial health at the major industrial establishment.
He added that, under the supervision of Senior General Manager, S K Singh, mock drill is conducted twice a year for checking safety arrangements and rehearsal of rescue teams.

The factory administration expressed satisfaction over preparations being made for avoiding any untoward incident and providing their prompt services at the time of any emergency. On the occasion, Palash Barman, Senior Vigilance Officer, Anshu Jakhar, Assistant Works Manager, Orderly Officer, Manek Goswamy, K P Singh, Vigilance Officer, Electricity Vigilance Officer, J K Jharia, Sanjeev Saxena, S N Banerjee, J S Wadhavan, Ajay Rajak, Ravi Shankar Sharma, Amit Biswas, Somendra Dhurandhar, Vijay Dawar and other officers and employees actively participated in the mock drill.
