Reacting strongly to the allegations made by CPCC President Abhishek Singh says, correction of his name was made through legal procedure due to an error in the English spelling

Terming the allegations leveled by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupesh Baghel as baseless and misleading, Member of Parliament from Rajnandgaon Abhishek Singh said “I’m reiterating again that there is no bank account in my name in any foreign country.”

Reacting strongly to the allegations made by CPCC President in a press conference on Saturday, the Rajnandgaon MP further added that “his name was Abhishek Singh from the very beginning and a correction was made through legal procedure due to an error in the English spelling.” He said he had never changed his name. He said during the days when he was pursuing academics, an error -Abhishak instead of Abhishek - had occurred in his name, which was rectified. Henceforth the information is public.

Abhishek Singh said he had clarified earlier also and yet again he is clarifying that he doesn’t possess any bank account in any foreign country, under any name of his. The Congress and some other people had filed petition in Supreme Court and the Apex Court aptly rejected the petition.

The Rajnandgaon MP further added that the allegations leveled by CPCC President Bhupesh Baghel are totally baseless, fictitious and politically oriented. He said the Congress couldn’t find any issue which it could rake against the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party government, hence it is trying to gain political mileage through such false and fictitious allegations.

Abhishek Singh further added that earlier he and his wife had share-holdings of Aasthan Chalet Estate Private Limited, which were transferred by both of them. This information is also available in public domain and that
presently he has no connection with the said company. He further added that transfer of share-holdings was carried out through a legal process and that doesn’t amount for violations of any law.

The Rajnandgaon MP further added that the land in contention was purchased by the said company in 2011 and doesn’t have any connection with the proposed rail project. This rail project is being constructed in Chhattisgarh due to the efforts carried out by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and it will be beneficial for the people of Chhattisgarh.
Abhishek Singh further added that the rail project is like a Maha Yagya for development which once completed will bring an immense socio-economic change in the region through which the corridor is passing. Unable to digest this development, the CPCC President is trying to create a hindrance so that the project is stalled and he can gain politically.

Singh further added that the CPCC President after losing the 30 acres land which he had encroached upon in Durg district and which was returned to its rightful owner, has been severely frustrated. Going berserk due to this frustration he’s leveling baseless and fictitious allegations against him as he’s the son of the Chief Minister. After the encroached land was taken back by the district administration, Baghel had held the Chief Minister responsible for the development and as a matter of revenge dragged his son.

Rape case registered against...
company. The accused thereafter refused to marry the girl.
It is reported that when the victim reached Chendra police station to file complaint, she was forced to make compromises with the accused. Later, accused married another girl. Learning about this, the victim again approached police but in vain. Left with no option, the victim with her baby girl knocked the doors of Surguja IG Himanshu Gupta. Taking the matter seriously, IG directed police to register FIR.

Sources informed that police however, registered the case but accused is still at large. Meanwhile, victim’s mother said that they were pressurised by police for withdrawing the case and this has forced them to spend life in fear. They also expressed disappointment over delay in filing FIR. When contacted, Surajpur SP G S Jaiswal said that the case had been registered and investigation was going on. Meanwhile, it has come to fore that the accused Samodh Paikra is the nephew of Home Minister Ramsewak Paikra. When the media queried the Home Minister about the incident, he said law will take its own course. He assured that there is no interference from his side. However, he added that he was informed about the affair of his nephew a year back but he had never met the victim.

According to him there was love-affair between his nephew and the victim and under such circumstances registering the offence under Section 376 IPC is unjustified, but he’ll not interfere into the matter, the law will take its own course.
