Rains bring respite in Bhopal

IT WAS a bright day in Bhopal on Sunday. People witnessed sudden change in weather conditions as it became cloudy in the evening and rains lashed the city giving huge respite to people from humidity and heat. Visibility reduced to a great extent during the downpour. Meantime, light to moderate rains lashed isolated places of State in last 24 hours. Weather Department has forecast rains in sundry parts of the State.


Weather Department said that in last 24 hours rains occurred in several places of Ujjain and Jabalpur divisions and in some parts of Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Indore and Sagar divisions. Atner, Ratlam, Sailana, Mahidpur, Tarana, Jobat received 3 cm rainfall each followed by Dewas, Kannod, Tonkhurd, Indore, Agar, Chhindwara, Umaria, Susner (2 cm each) respectively. Sendwa, Dhar, Pachmarhi, Mandsaur,Jabra, Shajapur, Thekri, Multai, Khategaon, Sonkuch recorded rainfall of 1 cm each. In the forecast Weather Department said that rains with lightning are likely in many places of Indore, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Hoshangabad divisions and a few places of Rewa, Ujjain, Bhopal divisions.

Good thing is this that rainfall activities are likely to increase in Madhya Pradesh. Forecast for Bhopal says that some parts of the city are likely to witness rains with lightning. Winds will blow at the speed of 20 km per hour. As mercury level has increased in Bhopal, people are praying for good rainfall which would finally bring total respite from humidity and heat. This monsoon, rains are occurring in regular intervals. As rains have been playing truant, hence it may be a matter of concern for farmers whose crops need water in initial stage. Notably, monsoon hit Madhya Pradesh timely but rains have been irregular so far.
