Collector conducts surprise inspection in Chargavan

Collector, Chhavi Bharadwaj carried out surprise inspection of Patan and Chargavan area, on Thursday. During the inspection of Chargavan Tehsildar Court, she expressed dissatisfaction on irregularities in settling revenue cases. She ordered to stop 3 wage increments each of Revenue Inspector and Patwaris posted in this area. She said, if cases were not redressed in six months’ time, then the salary disbursement would also be stopped.


During the inspection, she visited Tehsil Officer Patan, Community Health Centre, Patan, Kasturba Hostel, Chargavan, Primary Health Centre, Chargavan, Bijori Tribal Welfare Department-run Post Matric Hostel and also checked distribution of grains at two fair price shops in Patan.


During inspection, Collector termed the Revenue Department work in Chargavan area as in most poor state. She said, people are facing problem in revenue cases and have to run from pillar to post. Employees of Revenue Department are not showing any interest in the work. She ordered SDM to ensure proper functioning in the department.


She also directed the SDM and Tehsildar to remain present in their office within week’s time. She asked to ensure timely work of Revenue Department for the public. She also met local residents and ordered to transfer RI, Hariom Rajput to other place and asked to appoint new Nayab Tehsildar in the area. She also inspected Tehsildar Court and reviewed the revenue and criminal cases. During the inspection, for not having updated information regarding the pending cases, she expressed dissatisfaction on working of Tehsildar Court Reader. A large number of locals also gathered at Tehsildar office during visit of Collector and informed large number of problems on which Collector directed SDM to solve problems being faced by local residents on priority.


After the Tehsildar Court, she visited Community Health Centre, Charagavan, where patients apprised her about problems and also complained about doctors and said that medical staff was not regular in its duty. While at the hostel in Gangai, Bijori students also discussed some problems like seepage during rains and electricity, drinking water problems and cleanliness. On this, Collector ordered to initiate white wash in the building. Similarly, at the Patan Community Health Centre (CHC), patients registered complaints of serious issues like OPD discontinued and facilities are also not available as listed. During the inspection, the cleanliness in different wards was found satisfactory. While sanitary workers registered their complaint that since last few months, their PF is not being deducted. During the inspection of fair price shops at Patan, Collector directed the officers to distribute ration to the public using POS machine only and checked the stock and distribution record registers. The customers confirmed that from these shops, adequate and correct weighted quantity of grains is being provided by the shopkeepers.
