BHOPAL Cyber Cell has arrested a 32-year-old man, who was recently released from Pakistan jail, for issuing life threat to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday. In the tweet, he said that if the CM comes to Seoni for his rallies, he will kill him. Accused Jitendra Arjunwar (32), was arrested from Barghat town of Seoni district along with his brother Bharat Arjunwar (25). The accused were later released on bail. They were booked under charges for issuing life threats and creating fake account.

According to Cyber Cell Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudeept Goenka, the accused had issued five threats from his Twitter handle. He had procured a SIM card on his brother’s name that was used to create Twitter account. He had first tweeted against the CM on August 2 and posted five tweets till August 7 after which the Cyber Cell noticed threats during routine cyber patrolling. He was then traced by phone location in Seoni from where he was operating the account.

it may be mentioned that the accused was released from a Pakistani Jail on May 18, after spending five years in Hyderabad jail of Sindh province and was probably depressed over not receiving any help from the State Government as was promised to him earlier; however Cyber Cell denied any such information. In the first tweet, he had stated that if Chief Minister Chouhan visited Seoni for Jan Ashirwad Yatra, he would kill him. He kept on posting tweets till August 7 when the Cyber Cell tracked the handle and closed it. Goenka said that the accused used to work in Mumbai as a driver, while his brother Bharat is a mechanic. He was living in Seoni for past three months and was allegedly miffed over apathy of the State Government as they gave several assurances but he never got any help from the authorities. No weapon was recovered from the accused, while cops are investigating further.
