MP Gausevaks Sangh demands appointment at Panchayat-level

Madhya Pradesh Gausevaks Sangh organised a protest at TT Nagar, Dussehra Maidan, demanding appointment of Gaussevaks at Panchayat-level. They are urging Government to take steps to amending Sanjivani Yojana so that it can facilitate in appointment of Gausevaks. State President of Gausevaks Sangh Rajesh Dholpure said that the Government is not paying attention to the demands of the organization .Spokesperson of Gausevak Dinesh Dhakad has warned that they are going to continue with protest till their demands are met. More than 500 members of Madhya Pradesh Gausevaks Sangh from all over the State gathered at the TT Nagar Dussehra ground. They have also submitted memorandum to Animal Husbandry authorities earlier.


They claimed that vehicles at Animal Husbandry Department are more costly to maintain rather they should look for appointment of Gau Sevak for the same.
They stated that the monthly expenditure of a van under Pashu Sajivini Yojana comes to Rs 38,465 and annual expenditure is Rs 4,68,000. If 313 development blocks run this vehicle, then its annual expenditure comes to Rs 14,64,84,000. If you are receiving a gratuity training and Gausevak is appointed in every development block in the Animal Sanjivani Yojna then the annual budget will come to just Rs 12,00,00,000 / - which will be less than the budget of used for Vans at present.


Besides, it will also help in sustaining livelihood to the Gausevaks. Madhya Pradesh Gausevaks Sangh stated that they are involved in all kinds of activities like artificial insemination, vaccination , first aid treatment etc. They are also involved in awareness programmes for the conservation of bovines and also to ensure stray bovines safe rehabilitation they are working in the State . Inspite of all these activities there is no particular demarcation of the gau sevaks and they are deprived of all kinds of facilities of an employee.


Madhya Prdaesh Gausevaks Sangh is geared up to protest for their demands of ensuring 50 % reservations animal husbandly department.They claim that Gausevaks act as an important facilitators in smooth functioning of Animal Husbandry Department. They are involved in all kinds of activities like artificial insemination, vaccination , first aid treatment etc.


They are also involved in awareness programmes for the conservation of bovines and also to ensure stray bovines safe rehabilitation they are working in the State. Inspite of all these activities there is no particular demarcation of the gau sevaks and they are deprived of all kinds of facilities of an employee.


On one hand they have not been regularised and on the other they have not been given any kind of reservation in animal husbandry department. They have been involved at Gausevak Mahotsav, Krishi Mahotsav, Gopal Pruruskar, Nandi Shala Yojana , Murraada Yojana.
