15 injured, 3 seriously, in road mishap

More than a dozen passengers sustained serious injuries near village Singaudi around 8 kilometers from here after an overloaded and speeding bus rammed into a parked truck. The accident caused panic among passengers who were rushed to Rampyali Community Health Centre. Former MLA Pradeep Jaiswal visited the government hospital and enquired about the injured passengers undergoing treatment. Out of 15 passengers who sustained injuries, condition of three is reported to be serious and they have been referred to Waraseoni Government Hospital for further treatment. The bus driver managed to flee from the spot after the accident.

According to information, the bus is being operated by KGN Bus Service and was going to Heti Kherlanjhi from Waraseoni when the accident occured in front of ITI building. The injured passengers told police that the driver, who was speeding, lost control on the vehicle near ITI building and rammed into the parked truck. Due to massive impact, passengers suffered injuries. Soon after the mishap, onlookers rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. Ambulance 108 was informed and all 15 injured passengers were rushed to Rampyali Community Health Centre. At the CHC, the doctors examined the injured passengers and found condition of three serious as they had sustained multiple injuries. Accordingly the injured passengers were referred to Waraseoni Government Hospital. The three seriously injured passengers have been identified as Geeta Anjilal Chaudhary (19), resident of village Jhariya, Monu Anil Dayrey (19), resident of village Atari and Priyanka Jugalkishore Katarey.

Former MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, President of City Municipality Vivek Patel, Anand Bisen and Santosh Aadey visited the government hospital and enquired about the injured passengers. Out of 15 passengers, 12 were given first aid and discharged while three having are being treated at Government Hospital. their condition is reported to be stable.
Cops have registered case under relevant section of IPC against the absconding driver under section 279,337 of IPC. A massive search has been started by the police to apprehend the absconding driver. The bus has been seized and stationed at police station. In the mishap the front portion of the bus has been badly damaged and the truck too has suffered damaged.
