JDA’s new scheme to be name after Vajpayee

“Continuing the series of development works in city, Jabalpur Development Authority (JDA) will start its new scheme Number-66 after the name of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The new development scheme will also mark the successful completion of three years of Chairmanship to materialise the vision of overall development of city”, says Dr Vinod Mishra, Chairman of Jabalpur Development Authority, while addressing a press conference, on Friday.

Dr Vinod Mishra informed that Scheme No-66 Pt Atal Bihari Vajpayee Nagar will be developed on 221.717 hectare land in Kachpura, Karmeta, Kachnari, Basha, Raksa, Raigavan and Simaria villages including 212-hectare private land and 9.8-hectare government land. The area will be developed with construction of 30-metre wide SR-2 road near Scheme Numbers-41, 64 and 65. The area will be connected through by-pass road and Patan road to ensure fluent traffic operation. In second phase of the programme, a book on three-years achievements of Dr Vinod Mishra as Chairman of JDA was released at the hands of eminent guests include MLA, Ashok Rohan, nominated MLA L B Lobo, BJYM, State President, Abhilash Pandey, Shiv Patel and others. On the occasion, JDA, Chief Executive Officer, Nidhi Singh Rajput informed that Dr. Mishra assumed charge as JDA Chairman, on August 31, 2015.

Pointing out the mismanaged traffic management in the city, he paid special attention on early completion of ISBT project and the project was inaugurated on January 29, 2016. Keeping in vision of developing new township in 1,000 days, he has launched four new schemes number 62, 63, 64 and 65. Continuing the pace of development works, Scheme No-66 was started to fulfil the dream of Dr Vinod Mishra for developing a new township of Jabalpur on 1,500-acres land. All the schemes will be developed on the basis of metro cities to ensure essential facilities for residents in their respective localities like wide roads, footpath, cycling track, walking track, play ground, park, educational block, health centre, police station, shopping complex etc. Besides this, underground sewage, drains, water supply, cable and electricity supply will be available through utility duct. Fulfilling a long awaited demand of children and senior citizens, Dr. Mishra is trying to develop ‘Recreation area along Water Body’ at heart place of the city Civic Centre in the name of late Pt. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Dr. Mishra paved the way of several residential and commercial projects amounting to Rs. 200 crore to develop new employment opportunities and provided EWS building for providing residents to weaker section of society.

Speaking on the occasion, guests applauded the initiatives of Dr. Vinod Mishra and said that the development projects initiated by him will prove a milestone in materialising the dream of Jabalpur as Smarty City.
