Birth of twins is always special and JCI orange city made them feel more special on Sunday by organising a show, ‘Judwa no 1’, a unique carnival of twins at Rajwada Palace, near Gandhi Sagar Lake. The identical faces dressed in same attire displayed all the ‘Colors of India’ in the show.

Ashish Jichkar, Zone President of Zone IX of JCI India, inaugurated the event. More than 200 twins including some triplets participated in the event from Nagpur and surrounding part of Central India. Twins of different age group, right from new born twins to senior citizen presented themselves with full of zeal and enthusiasm on the stage.

Everyone was uniquely dressed, some participants were dressed up as freedom fighters, some dressed up to show various festivals of India, some dressed up showing various cultural ethos and some dressed themselves to give a message like save girl child, women empowerment, clean India and over usage of smart phones.

Shakir and Zakir Khanwala were the eldest participant in the show. Both had been participating in the show since 2005. “This is one of the finest events for twins. It make them feel more special. This show should be continued for years,” said Shakir.

2-year-old Kanak and Kanika Rathi were dressed in Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Kanak was decked up in beautiful Kashmiri dress while Kanika had a typical south attire.
The participants were classified in 5 different categories according to age group. Category A consisted of new born to 4 years, Category B - 4 years to 7 years, Category C- above 7 years to 13 years, Category D -above 13 years to 19 years, and last category E included twins of above 19 years.

Ramp Walk, healthy baby contest, smiley baby, fancy dress competition, one minute game show, rapid fire questions and other games were the special attraction of the show.
Preyasi and Shreyasi Das won the first prize under category A while Unnati and Umang Kariya, Ovi and Aarohi Vakil won second and third prizes respectively. Shanaya and Ishana Sharma won the first prize in Category B while Shlok and
Shourya Jaiswal and Anvi and Avani Shinde were the second and third prize winners respectively.

Preet and Palak Anandi and Aarav and Nirav Chandak shared the first prize in Category C. Arav and Arnav Moon and Anant and Aarush Purohit won second and third prize in the same category.

In category D, Koyna and Kanishka Meshram won the first prize while Riddi and Siddhi Deogirkar and Vedant and Mrudand Wanjaree won second and third prize respectively. Pranav and Paruoti Kulkarni, Shraddha and Suvarna Shastri and Shakir and Zakir Khanwale won first, second and third prize respectively in category E.

The concluding ceremony was graced by Sandip Joshi, Chairman, Maharashtra Small Scale Industries, who is also a Ruling Party Leader. He awarded prizes to winners of the respective categories. Rajesh Verma from Moonlight Studio was also present on the occasion.

A dedicated team of over 100 members worked hard day and night since last 2 months to make this event a grand success. The work was conducted under the leadership of President Manoj Pawa and time to time guidance of past presidents, Nitin Thakkar, Anil Jain, Kishor Vadaliya, Sunil Patil, Rajesh Rathod, Hemal Nadiyana, Ritesh Mehta, Anand Taori, Prashun Agrawal, Swastik Jain, Akash Jain and Ajay Vaswani.
