Somehow, he got annoyed with the woman and beat her with slippers and then hurled casteist abuses at her.

The victim reached Rampayli police station but she was asked to go and only her application was taken. The woman then lodged complain at Chief Minister Online. On September 6, she was called by police officers at Rampayli police station and case under Section 294, 323, 506 and SC/ST Act Section 3(2)5 A was lodged against the accused Sarpanch. The victim, Sangita Raut informed that on September 5, she met Sarpanch Dinesh Lilhare and informed him that her ration card is in her late husband’s name and hence she was not getting ration. She requested him to include her name in the ration card. The Sarpanch replied that it was not his work and asked her to meet some employee at the Panchayat office.

The victim informed that she had to cover a distance of two kilometres by foot to reach Panchayat office and hence requested the Sarpanch to add her name to the ration card so that she could start getting ration. But the Sarpanch got annoyed and started misbehaving with her. She also suffered injuries in the leg due to the beating.
